Photinos currently serves as Professor of Chamber Music and Eminent Scholar at the University of Cincinnati, and previously served on the faculties of the Longy School of Music of Bard College, the University of Michigan, and Northwestern University. He is faculty at the Bang on a Can Summer Music Festival and performs in the Grossman Ensemble at the Chicago Center for Contemporary Composition. He is a graduate of Northwestern University, the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and the Oberlin Conservatory of Music.

DAVID COOK
David Cook is Associate Professor of Clarinet and Chair of Instrumental Performance Studies at Millikin University, Principal Clarinet of the Millikin-Decatur Symphony Orchestra, and clarinetist for the Appian Duo and the Greyline Duo. David teaches applied clarinet, chamber music, clarinet pedagogy, and clarinet methods at Millikin University, where he received the university’s Research and Artistic Achievement Award in 2023. David was previously on faculty at Wichita State University and the University of Oklahoma. Critically praised for “brilliant and stunning” performances, “terrific virtuosic playing,” and “a fine sense of drama,” David has been recognized in numerous competitions including The American Prize for Instrumental Performance, the American Virtuoso International Music Competition, the Ernst Bacon Memorial Award for the Performance of American Music, the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Young Artist Competition, the Oklahoma Community Orchestra Young Artist Competition, and the White Lake Chamber Music Festival Solo Competition.
David is founder of Adademic Musician Career Consulting, where he mentors applicants who are entering the academic job search.

Four-time Grammy Award-winning cellist Nick Photinos is one of the most innovative and multifaceted cellists of our time. An ardent advocate of new music, he has worked closely with many of the foremost composers of this era and has premiered hundreds of works throughout his career.
IXI CHEN
Ixi Chen is the Second Clarinetist of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and enjoys a versatile and active career as an orchestral player, chamber musician, artistic director, educator and coach. She teaches at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and is founder of the chamber ensemble concertnova, whose fusion of traditional and contemporary elements seeks to cultivate a new audience for music and deeper understanding.
Ixi's commitment to diverse experiences and empowering musicians led her to create Music360 and the Digital Clarinet Academy. All of the resources, programs and work therein are centered on the belief that in order to grow sustainably and intentionally, you must address the many layers of who you are: an artist, human, entrepreneur, creative and so much more.
